Attorney James Jean-Francois is president of the Law Offices of James Jean-Francois, P.A. He has proudly served the South Florida community since 2001. He is a former managing partner at another law firm. His practice area has been focused in the area civil law, concentrating on general litigation, commercial and business litigation, real estate transactions, litigation and appeals, personal injury, civil rights law and employment, and other areas of law.

Mr. Jean-Francois has extensive litigation experience in both jury and non-jury and in the state and federal courts. His passion for litigation helps him serve his clients to best protect their rights and interests. He is known and respected as an effective client-advocate. In addition to helping individuals, Attorney Jean-Francois has represented small to medium-sized businesses on matters ranging from compliance, structure and internal management issues, to matters such as business operations, etc.

Mr. Jean-Francois earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from Stetson University College of Law, which is recognized as a premier trial advocacy school. He holds a Masters of Science Degree in Alternate Dispute Resolution & Conflict Analysis from Nova Southeastern University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics & International Affairs from the Florida State University.

Mr. Jean-Francois represents both plaintiffs and defendants. Prior to the practice of law, Mr. Jean-Francois’s business acumen and organizational skills were sharpened by his lengthy employment as a banker in key positions with nationally recognized banks. He serves on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations. He is admitted to the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. He is also admitted to practice before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Tax Court. Mr. Jean-Francois is married with two outstanding children.
